International Day of Yoga 2025: CBSE Schools Celebration Guide

The United Nations declared 21st June as the International Day of Yoga to highlight its global importance. Over the years, it has been celebrated across the world with great enthusiasm. These celebrations promote Yoga as a powerful tool for holistic health and a sustainable lifestyle.



The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, offers digital resources and the latest updates on International Day of Yoga (IDY) activities through its official platforms.

Suggested Activities for Celebrating International Day of Yoga 2025

1. Conduct Yoga workshops and seminars for both students and teachers to promote regular Yoga practice and adoption.

2. Organize a mass Yoga demonstration on the International Day of Yoga.

3. Hold quiz and essay writing competitions on Yoga-related themes to spark student interest.

4. Feature Yoga and IDY-related articles in the school’s e-newsletter, bulletin, or magazine.

5. Motivate students and staff to participate in IDY competitions hosted by the Ministry of Ayush on the MyGov platform (https://www.mygov.in/), such as the E-Poster Competition, Essay Contest, and Yog Geet/Jingle Contest 2025.

6. Promote participation in the Yoga Quiz organized by the Ministry of Ayush in collaboration with MyGov (https://quiz.mygov.in/quiz/international-day-of-yoga-2025-quiz/).
