Categories
- Category 1: Classes 6–7

Language Options
- The Reading Challenge will be conducted in both Hindi and English.
- One student per class can participate in only one language.
Certification and Recognition
- Students participating in Round II will receive an online Participation Certificate from CBSE.
- Outstanding performers will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for their achievement.
- Schools are encouraged to motivate students to join this enriching initiative.

Round One How to Register Tutorial
Round One / First Stage
📅 18.08.2025 to 01.09.2025 – Student Registration
- Schools affiliated to CBSE may register students for Reading Challenge Round I.
- Eligible Classes: 6–7 and 8–10.
- Languages: Hindi and English.

📅 08.09.2025 to 11.09.2025 – Question Papers & School-Level Challenge
- Question papers with scoring criteria will be uploaded on the portal for registered schools.
- Schools must download the papers and conduct the challenge offline.
- Schools should identify the Top 10 performing students:
- 2 students each from Classes 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
- For both Hindi and English challenges.
- If more than ten students score equally well, an additional screening test may be conducted by the school.
📅 15.09.2025 to 26.09.2025 – Nomination for Round II
- Schools must register the Top 10 selected students for Round II via the CBSE Academic website link.
- Nomination Rule: Each school may nominate one student per class in one language only.
Round Two / Second Stage
📅 Dates: 08.10.2025, 09.10.2025, 13.10.2025, and 14.10.2025
- CBSE will conduct a computer-based Reading Challenge for the students registered in Round II.
- Eligibility: Only schools that successfully completed Round I and registered their students for Round II can participate.
Schools are advised to stay alert for official communication from CBSE regarding the Reading Challenge. Detailed guidelines and instructions will be shared exclusively on the cbseshiksha email ID of schools that register students for Round II, one week before the stage begins. This ensures smooth conduct of the challenge and provides students a valuable opportunity to enhance their reading, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
