The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), is organizing an Essay Writing Competition during Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November 2025. As part of its preventive and participative vigilance initiatives, the CVC aims to instill integrity, ethics, and responsibility among students, reinforcing the role of education in shaping honest and committed citizens for nation-building.

Guidelines
- Competition Dates: To be conducted at the school level during school hours, on any date between 25.09.2025 to 06.10.2025 under teacher supervision.
- Eligibility: Open to students of Classes IX–XII.
- Word Limit: 500–600 words.
- Duration: 1 hour.
- Medium: Hindi or English.
How to Submit?
- Schools shall evaluate the entries internally.
- The three best entries must be uploaded in PDF format on the CBSE portal: https://cbseit.in/cbse/2025/cvc
- The last date and time for uploading is 6.10.2025, by 5:00 p.m.
- Schools must also enter details of student participation on the portal.
Evaluation & Rewards
- The three best entries at the school level may be suitably recognised by the school during Vigilance Awareness Week.
- The three best entries from each school must be uploaded on the CBSE portal.
- Uploaded entries will be evaluated at the Regional Level, and three best entries shall be selected from each CBSE region.
- These regional entries will then be evaluated at the National Level.
- The five best entries at the national level will be forwarded to the CVC and duly honoured (further details to be communicated separately).
- The evaluation criteria is provided in Annexure B.
- Emphasis will be on originality of ideas and intellectual honesty.
- Plagiarism detected at any stage shall lead to disqualification.
