The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important circular regarding the Mandatory Mass Mock Evaluation of the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, scheduled for 26 February 2026. This initiative is a crucial step toward ensuring a smooth, transparent, and efficient digital evaluation process for board examinations.
📌 Purpose of the Mass Mock Evaluation
CBSE has been conducting live practice sessions to familiarize teachers of Classes XI and XII with the Digital Evaluation System. The mass mock evaluation aims to:
✅ Ensure all teachers can successfully log in to the OSM platform
✅ Help teachers save and verify their login credentials for actual evaluation
✅ Provide hands-on experience with the digital marking system
✅ Test the system’s performance under real evaluation load
✅ Collect feedback to improve usability and efficiency
This large-scale trial will ensure that evaluators are fully comfortable with the platform before the official evaluation begins.
🖥️ Improvements in the Digital Evaluation Platform
Based on feedback from earlier sessions, CBSE has enhanced the system to make it more user-friendly and reliable. Key improvements include smoother functioning and better interface usability to support large-scale evaluation.
👩💼 Principal’s Dashboard – Monitoring & Support
To facilitate effective implementation, CBSE has provided a dedicated dashboard for school principals with the following features:
✔ Correction of incorrect teacher data in OASIS to enable credential generation
✔ Monitoring how many teachers have logged in to the OSM system
✔ Tracking the number of answer scripts evaluated by teachers
✔ Facility to send login credentials directly to teachers
This dashboard ensures accountability and smooth coordination at the school level.
⚙️ Final Testing Before Actual Evaluation
CBSE will soon announce the subject-wise schedule for the real evaluation process. Before that, this Mass Mock Evaluation serves as a final system test, ensuring:
