As per the official document CBSE Circular 2, the circular is specifically directed to school heads in the Middle East Region, emphasizing timely implementation and strict adherence to CBSE guidelines.
CBSE Board Exams Postponed in Middle East Region – Official Update for Class X & XII
The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the postponement of board examinations scheduled on 05 March 2026 (Thursday) and 06 March 2026 (Friday) for both Class X and Class XII in selected Middle East countries.

The decision applies to examination centers located in:

Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates
Reason for Postponement
After a critical review of the current situation in parts of the Middle East region, the Board has taken this precautionary step in the interest of students’ safety and well-being.
What About the New Exam Dates?
The revised dates for the postponed examinations will be announced later. Students, parents, and schools are advised to wait for the official notification from CBSE.
Additionally, the Board will review the situation on 05 March 2026 and take appropriate decisions regarding examinations scheduled from 07 March 2026 onwards.
⚠️ Important Note for Students & Parents
This postponement applies only to the selected Middle East countries mentioned in the official notification — Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The decision is not applicable to other countries or examination centres outside these listed regions. All other CBSE examination centres will conduct exams as per the original schedule unless otherwise notified.
