The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has unveiled a brand-new Class 9 Science textbook titled “Exploration” for the academic session 2026–27. This release is part of a broader transformation in school education aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023 (NCF 2023).
With this update, NCERT continues its shift away from rote memorization toward a more competency-based, skill-oriented approach—one that encourages students to think, question, and apply knowledge in real-life contexts.
