The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an important extension for schools applying for affiliation through the SARAS 7.0 Portal for the 2027–28 academic session.
As per the latest notification, the last date for submission of online affiliation applications has been extended to 30 September 2026 across all categories of applications. This decision has been taken after considering the difficulties faced by schools due to the period during which the SARAS 7.0 portal remained non-functional.

✅ New Last Date: 30 September 2026
✅ Applicable to all categories of affiliation applications for the 2027–28 session.
✅ Schools that were affected by the portal downtime will receive:
- 30 additional days from the date of the notification to submit "Compliance After Grant."
- 15 additional days to submit "Compliance After Deficiency at Part A Level.
✅ Timelines for:
- Consent by Inspection Committee members
- Selection and finalization of inspection dates
- Conduct of inspections
- Submission of Inspection Committee Reports
- Other related time-bound activities
have also been extended accordingly.
