The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the Class 10 Second Board Exam (Phase 2) Date Sheet for 2026. This second phase of board exams is introduced under the new two-exam system aligned with NEP 2020, giving students another chance to improve their scores.
🎯 What is CBSE Second Board Exam?
The second board exam (Phase 2) is:
- An improvement opportunity for students
- Students can appear for up to 3 subjects
- The best score (from Phase 1 or Phase 2) will be considered
- Also acts as a compartment exam for those who did not pass earlier
📅 CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026 – Key Dates
The CBSE Phase 2 exams will be conducted from May 15, 2026, to May 21, 2026.
Here are the major subject-wise exam dates:
- May 15, 2026 – Mathematics (Standard / Basic)
- May 16, 2026 – English (Communicative / Lang. & Lit)
- May 18, 2026 – Science
- May 21, 2026 – Social Science
