The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced a brand-new Class 9 Mathematics textbook titled “Ganit Manjari” for the academic session 2026–27. This update is part of the ongoing transformation in school education aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023 (NCF 2023).
With this revision, NCERT continues moving away from rote memorization toward a competency-based, skill-focused approach—encouraging students to understand concepts deeply, think logically, and apply mathematics in real-life situations.
